Cancellation Policy
Confidentiality: During your art therapy sessions, you will be encouraged to explore their feelings, emotions, concerns, or issues through the use of art making and reflective discussions with the art therapist. Therefore, note keeping, photographs and/or recordings of your creative work, including art, models, imagery etc may be taken by the therapist. These photographs will only be used for the assessment and reviews and/or the therapist clinical supervision. In addition, all information about you and your work will always remain anonymous. All sessions are conducted in private rooms and only include you and the therapist, unless otherwise discussed, for example, reviews etc. All sessions with you will be kept confidential unless you or someone else is at risk or serious harm. In this case you will be assured that the most appropriate decisions will be made regarding your safety or the safety of others. If you need additional help and support this will be discussed during the session and the involvement of parents will be encouraged to determine the right options for you. In some cases, to best support you, it may be beneficial for the art therapist to speak to professionals who support you, in which confidential standards and procedures will be followed. When possible, this will be discussed with yourself first before making contact. Cancellation Policy: Together, you and your therapist will discuss planned breaks and holidays in advance so it is clear when these are taking place. If you are unable to make a session, please give as much notice as possible. Less than 48 hours’ notice will still count as a session. Every session has financial overheads and requires preparation and follow-up work, using the therapists time whether you attend your session or not. If for any reason, there are three unplanned missed sessions in a row a review will take place to work together and decide how best to support the therapy. It may be a necessary to change the time or bring the therapy to an end. Ending you treatment policy: Your sessions will be reviewed on a frequent basis, this is to ensure they are effective for your treatment, as part of the review process discussions around ending therapy will be explored as appropriate. However, if you feel you would like to discuss ending therapy please do not hesitate to discuss this with your therapist giving as much notice as possible. It is recommended that to end our work together safely to have one sessions notice
